Great for families with young children as you don't have to worry about other customers. The house is very comfortable, clean and has a Japanese style bathroom. The lady who accommodated us was lovely and she even made us a nice Japanese breakfast for us. The house is surrounded with beautiful mountains. I would definitely recommend this place.

I loved the hospitality by the Japanese people in the hotel. They were so kind and helpful all the way along. It was as if my parents were there helping me. The overall experience was wonderful.

Modern design and very comfortable. No breakfast or dinner options at hotel but within walking distance from several restaurants and a 7 Eleven only a short drive away. Super friendly helpful staff. Snacks available for purchase, communal area with coffee machine and microwave. Laundry room also available. Very quiet and plenty of parking available. Great value for money.

An authentic and quiet Japanese town. the balcony is facing the river. it’s a pleasing view and sound at anytime of the day. very near to the bus Gujo hachiman plaza where we can have the free shuttle to DYNALAND. it’s like a mere 2 mins walk. The common bath area is quiet probably due to the time of the year. it’s not onsen. it’s juz chlorinated water. Always looking forward to their breakfast. very delicious and fuel me for the day in the hill snowboarding. love this accomodation and the small town.

The place is incredible! How is it not booked month in advance? Located near a beautiful lake halfway between Nagoya and Takayama amidst mountains, the cabin is really big an spacious and has tons of facilities. Family room with fireplace and huge tv with consul, card games, a lot of sitting places. There is also a well equipped kitchen a bbq, really cool tab and a lot of amenities, balcony with beautiful starry night sky.

It's a nice 1970s style house with a spacious living room with a high ceiling and a very large wooden veranda where you can have a BBQ and eat outdoors. The bedroom has traditional Japanese mats and sliding door. The host was very nice- she set up our barbecue, gave us hot breakfast and was nice to our kids. The area nearby is natural and has forests with wild animals, a clean river and the Gero hot spring is also nearby..

Incredible river view location. The service from the staff was second to none, with a warm welcome and very family-run atmosphere. Breakfast was served impeccably every day and featured a great selection of foods. The bath was relaxing and the facilities were also excellent. Although the bathroom was shared, I barely saw another person in the building and it felt very private. What an incredible and traditional experience, well worth it. Gujo Hachiman is a little bit off the beaten track, but one of the most stunning places in all of Japan.
