Stunning villa with great architecture ! The villa has a great location with easy access to the beach and just 10 mins away from Galle fort.. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, the villa was very clean and of exceptional standard. In addition the food was amazing, we had Sri Lankan food as well as more Western cuisines and it was probably the best food I had during my trip to Sri Lanka. Most importantly the rooms were spacious and clean and had great views overlooking the beach . Really enjoyed my stay at Candella House.

I liked the people mostly, they are a nice family and they just want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The place is located in the middle of the jungle where you can se all sorts of animals.

A very nice and warm welcome by Damith (the host). Really enjoyed the fairytale house with comfortable bed and nice shower. I am in love with the plant in the bathroom. Everything is very well maintained, clean and furnished with an eye for detail. At night I felt safe because of the sweet dog that lay in front of my door. During the tasty breakfast, colorful birds and squirrels visited the beautiful garden. The spectacle of the chattering ducks was very amusing to watch. Recently there have also been bunnies jumping around in the garden, but unfortunately I had to miss them. The environment was so pleasant and relaxing that I secretly didn't want to go out. The fear that I might miss something was just a little stronger. The host arranged a bicycle for me and I cycled to Unawatuna (15 minutes) & Galle (30 minutes). There is also a nice beach just a 5-minute bike ride away.

Villa Sun Rising was a lovely place to stay! The host was super kind and made us feel welcome right from the start. The room was comfortable and cozy. We had a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast included, which was amazing, and the dinner we tried was also incredibly tasty—especially for such a small price and he even made us a vegetarion option. Everything about our stay was relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

The interior design is beautiful. Every room was meticulously designed, immaculately clean, and incredibly comfortable. Waking up to the view of the lush gardens and pool felt like a dream. The staff were beyond amazing — thoughtful, professional, and always going above and beyond to make sure our stay was flawless. From the delicious meal (we took the breakfast but now wish we’d had more meals there) to the little touches throughout the day, everything was handled with grace and genuine care. If you’re looking for a luxurious, peaceful escape in Sri Lanka, The Divine Villa Thalpe is just perfect. We loved every minute and didn’t want to leave.
