I absolutely loved the location, Nosy Faly truly radiates peace and tranquility. Miavaka Lodge is the perfect place to unwind, whether you’re with family, friends, or a loved one. The food was, without a doubt, the best I’ve had in Madagascar...fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly attentive and made me feel at home from the moment I arrived. There’s a wide range of activities on offer, and Nosy Faly boasts some of the most stunning scenic views of the surrounding islands, including Nosy Be and Nosy Komba. The sunsets from the swimming pool are simply magical, and the house-made rum? Easily the best I’ve ever tasted. To top it all off, I was welcomed with a lovely surprise: a complimentary upgrade to a larger tent nestled in the lush tropical gardens. Every detail exceeded my expectations...I’ll definitely be back!

Silvien, the owner, is super friendly and helpful. Claire (the in-house chef) is absolutely lovely, and makes excellent breakfast and dinner. Her husband, Fidelys, is the boatman, and can do all boat transfers and fishing excursions. The small self-catering kitchen is a great addition (if available when booking 2 or more rooms, without other guests). The location is really good, nice and secluded, but close to the village and easy access for transfers/excursion. Close to the lemur park (in the village), which is a MUST. Beds were nice and big, with big canopy mosquito nets. All in all 10/10.

Location was perfect. Over looking the water. Just a short walk to the local village . The pool was just lovely. Having the option of a simple breakfast at a good price and also the staff are more than happy to also cook a lunch or dinner if you don’t want to go into the village for a meal. The staff were ready to help and just lovely people. The manager meet us at the boat from the main island and made sure we had everything we needed. My son and I would come back and would recommend this place 100% as a quiet retreat.

Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect and enjoy no need to continue your research. La coin sauvage is your next little paradise .. away from the crowd, right on a beautiful sandy beach, next the a protected areas. The accommodation is lovely, the connection with nature is amazing. Excellent food and most of all amazing hospitality. From the moment I step in I felt like coming back to family. The Italian owners are absolutely charming and welcoming. Carlotta is running the place perfectly with a real human touch. I extended my stay since it really feels like a home away from home and I would love to come back one day. Thanks again for everything.

This is a wonderful hotel with a school in it and a young, polite, friendly, English-speaking staff. They were super nice, the view was gorgeous and they came an hour before every meal to let me know what they would be serving. I was ill after a week in Madagascar and this was a great place to end my time. There was a chido cyclone at last day, which they warned me about and were super helpful. I will remember this place very fondly and will definitely recommend it. I hope to return one day and see more of it.

Despite confirmation # they couldn’t find the reservation from Booking.com. Did manage to sort it out and they agreed to match the reserved price. Clean spacious room with 2 beds. Fan and mosquito nets, generator turned off at 2am though so got a little warm.
