After two years living in the Philippines, without hesitation, we can say that Cocogrove is our favorite place. Firstly, and most importantly, because for many years the hotel and its management have been proactively protecting the environment, including the coral reefs at two marine sanctuaries in front of the hotel and in Apo island ( one of the best places to respectfully interact with turtles) . Secondly, the hotel offers high quality while maintaining a traditional and beautiful Filipino style, giving us a sense of tranquility even when the hotel was fully booked. Marco, his wife and all the people there are the kindest you can find out there, the place is very very clean and you won't find insects, rooms are comfortable and the sea sounds in the night is so relaxing. You can do snorkeling with turtles and if you miss equipment Marco is there to help you. If you want a relaxing and memorable experience you should book here.

We had a great time at Nakabalo!! It was created by a fellow countryman and its Filipina wife... who happens to be the best cook ever! The staff was charming, the cocktail were great. The room (deluxe), yet simple, had a nice Balinese ambiance with its open peble shower. I highly recommend Nakabalo when stopping at Siquijor :) Note: the location is great (infinity pool over the forest) but you do need a scooter to go the beach (it's a given in Siquijor!).
