The location is stunning, very close to Taroko Gorge (only 10 minutes drive from the visitor centre). Our room was spacious and had nice amenities. But most of all, our hosts Lisa and her husband were very kind, sweet and attentive. Boya (spelling?!) took us on a short night drive to give us some historical information about his aboriginal background and Lisa spent time with us doing some small arts and crafts and telling us about her family. Their son also cooked us a lovely breakfast. Overall, a wonderful stay and we will be back when more of the trails in the National Park are open.

The lady who worked there was super nice and accommodating. Went with some friends but our arrival time kept changing. She was ready for us when we arrived in the evening, helped bring our luggage up the stairs, made us breakfast in the morning and gave us complimentary homemade treats when we left. I felt she did everything at this cute place and I could tell she was a hard worker. Each room was decorated differently with a unique theme. The place was clean, seemed newly renovated and affordable. There are water dispensers on each floor for you to fill your water bottle for free. Just a note, you will need to take your shoes off before you enter and leave them outside but she provides slippers for you to wear inside.

The host and his wife were very friendly. The room with a fsntastic ocean view was big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and included home made bread and fresh fruit along with ham, eggs and hash browns.

Very nice host. Perfect stay if you're in the Hualien area. Calm, Taroko and Hualien close by and an overwhelming atmosphere. Definitely a recommendation.

Really near Xincheng TRA, like literally visible from the exit. We booked here cos we wanted to have easy access to buses headed to Taroko for our trails. It's quite a distance from xincheng old street (where most of the eateries are) but you'll find a lot of good food if you're willing to walk (10-15mins) towards the stretch near 7-eleven or family mart. STARRY Inn provides breakfast & they try not to repeat depending on the number of days you stay, do let them know of your food restrictions. Staff were extremely helpful and kind! The lady boss even ran to the train platform to catch us when she found my dad's iPod left in the room after our check out!!! So so thankful for their hospitality and kindness!

Nice atmosphere. A lot of advice for everything in the environment of the hostel. Room and facilities were clean. Free coffee and snacks. Kitchen can be used. Got even vegetables for cooking from Susi. Extended our stay from 2 to 5 nights. Nice common area.

first of all the woman in Reception was probably one of the friendliest people I ever met , the room was great , big clean comfortable, good shower , good bed , it was the best stay I had this trip in Taiwan I will 100% stay here whey I come again
