Beautiful estate situated nicely between plettenberg and knysna. Friendly hosting couple and staff strike a nice balance between professional standards and personal touch, including a tasty home cooked hot breakfast with varying egg styles each morning. This is a special place — the historical manor is every bit as impressive and charming as it looks on the pictures. The staff was friendly, breakfast and dinner fantastic. Our kids loved the pool, we loved the atmosphere and tranquility. There was an issue with our booking, but the staff found a solution that worked well for us. It is in the countryside, but only a short drive out of Knysna.

Gorgeous scenery, lovely cottage with lots of comfortable places to sit/lounge. Beds were so comfy too. So much attention to detail. Stunning views, peace and quiet and a very friendly host. We plan to go back and enjoy for even longer next time.

We stayed just 2 nights in this beautiful setting and wished we could have stayed longer - it was peaceful, relaxing with stunning views. It was fully self-catered, and we were able to make use of the kitchen facilities. Amanda, the host, was very responsive and helped us settle in, we also enjoyed a walk up the hill to a local vineyard for a wine tasting and cheese platter! Great to be in nature enjoying the birdsong and even see some monkeys!
