The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff was very welcoming and even upgraded our second room so we could stay next to each other. Our Deluxe Family rooms had a stunning view of the water and fields with grazing sheep. Dinner was delicious, and the interiors, especially the library, were truly impressive. Our stay was short but very pleasant — we would love to return and explore the island more.

Definitely one of the best places I have ever been in my life (and I have travelled enough!). Top cleanliness, responsiveness of the management team on any request (both via chat before the stay and during), super functional flat, cosy, warm and equipped with every comfort needed to accommodate even the most demanding guest. The cabins are completely new, this can be deduced from various details including the modernity of the appliances (you have an induction cooker, an oven, sink and fridge so you can prepare a meal if you need to) or the bathroom. In the morning, for convenience and travel needs, we had two vegan breakfasts delivered: a real surprise! Two vegan croissants still warm, two vegan porridges with oats/granola and jam, fresh juice. A riot of goodness! Unfortunately we only stayed one night at House of Juniper Cabins, but we would have liked to stay much longer!

The place was perfect. There were sufficient linens, towels, toiletries, making the room comfortable to stay in for a few nights. Food and snacks were provided in the communal area, which were useful for our breakfast. The location is close to the centre of Portree, which was perfect to explore the Isle of Skye. Overall a great experience and would definitely book this place again if we were back in Portree!

The location in Portree was a good base for our family to explore Skye. The breakfast being served in the morning was enough to fuel us till mid-evening, and was both tasty and good portions with a lot of variety. The beds were comfortable, the staff was warm. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. The rooms were spacious. Pretty much a 10/10 for us. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the hotel staff was beyond exceptional and Anna specifically was the definition of hospitality. It is because of her that my stay here with my husband and children was memorable and we would definitely come back. Thanks Anna!

You get what you pay for. The condition of the hotel and the accommodation are generally in line with previous travellers' impressions. However, for one night, it's not a bad option. Besides, many hostels in Scotland are only for adults, so this hotel, wellcoming families, is a rare find. Breakfast is hearty and there is a good choice. Haggis is very tasty.

The house is beautifully decorated and was perfect for our family of 4. There was a bottle of wine on our arrival and Easter treats for the kids which was so thoughtful. We loved exploring Skye both in the Sleat Peninsula as well as driving out to Portree and hiking out there. For us it was great to be in the quieter part of Skye and we had some beautiful sunshine when hiking to the Point of Sleat. Recommend this house without reservation!

Lyndsey was incredibly kind, she was incredibly helpful. We were going to arrive around midnight due to flight disruption from the snow, she was worried about our safety with a baby and offered a refund. We can’t wait to go back in the summer!
