The accomodation was spacious and clean with a big terrace to chill and have breakfast in the morning. Whilst we did not use the kitchen much it was well equipped. The hosts are very friendly. There is a bar around the pool within the residence where you can hang, in the evenings you can have drinks there and hang with other fellow travellers as well as the owners to share about your day and get tips from each other. Welcome breakfast supplies provided on arrival are a lovely touch!!

The room had everything I needed with outdoor kitchen and dining - the common area and pool was an extra bonus. It is a really special place - near the road, but very quiet and the gardens are exceptional. Amazing location - so close the the Grand Anse beach - but walking distance to Deshailes and other beaches in the area - by coastal/hill trails or the road. The bus from the ferry in Pointe a Pitre stops 5 minutes from the hotel.

She saved us several times with our limited french. Also we didnt rent a car which was a mistake on our part. The pool was lovely. It is a short walk to the hot river but much longer (straight up) on the way back. Very much worth going to though. Also close to jaques cousteau preserve. Really good self.guided kayak and snorkeling tour. Still better with a car. And we are happy to walk usually. She cooked a dinner and breakfast that were excellent. The apartment is a good size with a fantastic view.

Σε απόσταση 2,4 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Παραλία Marigot, το Le Bougainvillier Blanc προσφέρει εξωτερική πισίνα, κήπο και κλιματιζόμενες μονάδες με μπαλκόνι και δωρεάν WiFi. We spent a delightful 6 days at La Bougainvillier Blanc in late January. We have poor French-language skills but we managed quite well, aided by a translation app on our phone (you need lots of data - 50 MB). We deliberately didn’t rent a car - that worked because we like walking. If that’s not your preference, you’ll have an easier time with a rental. Our favourite places were the larger local beach, Plage Caraibe, (great snorkelling at the north end) which was about 5 km away, and the Chute de Acomet, a beautiful little waterfall with lots of little pools downstream, which was 7.5 km away. That made for some long walks with some significant hills. Fortunately, there is also a local transport system available which made it easy to get to the other nearby beach (Plage de Petite Anse). Hitch-hiking is considered normal. Good local maps are free at the tourist office. Our gracious host Lucien has a wonderful little swimming pool at the guesthouse, so an end-of-day swim was part of our routine. The trickiest part for us was dinner – we tried to get back to La Bougainvillier Blanc by sunset to avoid walking in the dark, but most restaurants only opened later. We worked around this by eating a large late lunch (good choices at the beaches), eating at the one restaurant that opened at 17:00 (An Ba Tol La), or else making our own dinner in our well-equipped kitchen. If you have a car, there are at least 3 good restaurants close by. Pointe-Noire is not a tourist town so most shops close in the afternoon. Some useful shops that are open most of the day are along the main road (N2) – there are two pharmacies in the centre of town, and a large grocery ((Carrefour Express) and a good bakery/coffee shop on the southern half of town. We weren’t looking for a lot of tourist activities – just a quiet, peaceful time with low-key, interesting things to do each day. La Bougainvillier Blanc and Pointe-Noire were perfect for that.

Offering an outdoor pool and views of the sea, Residence AU 'TI SUCRIER is situated in Deshaies in the Basse-Terre Region, just 40 meters from Leroux Beach. You can’t go wrong staying here. It’s an incredibly beautiful, comfortable little gem of a hotel!
