He also did an excellent job to make sure we were comfortable. The location was absolutely phenomenal. Everything we had planned was a 2-10min walk. No parking provided but the garage they suggested was close by. The room exceeded all my expectations. I also enjoyed that we got to select what we wanted for breakfast and had it delivered to our room. Mattress was also very comfortable. Made for a very special weekend.

Free private parking is available at the property. Great location close to the centre. Very clean and new rooms were provided. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

The atmosphere of the city is like whole centre was captured in time and left for ages. It was my first time in Italy and I've literally fallen in love with this city. Our host was amazing and the warm welcome we've received will stay with us forever. I can't say anything bad about our stay in Matera and I would recommend everyone to book couple nights there. We would definitely come back to Matera, sooner than later.

We left our car at their partner parking and were picked up directly, which made the whole arrival experience smooth and stress-free. Even though the hotel is relatively new, it feels like it has been welcoming guests for many years. That is a true credit to the management and the entire team, who were warm, professional, and made us feel so well looked after. The food was outstanding, the cocktails were delicious, and the whole atmosphere was romantic and unforgettable. Relais & Châteaux should be very proud to have Vetera Matera in their collection. We are already looking forward to coming back and cannot recommend it highly enough.
