We were only here a short while but the stay was perfect. A very friendly familiy that run their guesthouse with love and attention. The room was big and comfortable, a place to sit in the front and the a bedroom attached. Dinner cooked by Suba is fabulous so dont miss out on her rice & curry. They arranged a tuktuk for us so that we were on time for the 4:40 train in the morning. If you come to Mannar, look no further and stay here.

Stayed here during our motorcycle trip to Mannar to snap some photos of flamingos and migratory birds, and honestly, it was a great find. The place is brand new, super clean, and the rooms are really spacious with solid, good-quality furniture — nothing cheap or flimsy. There’s a chill shared space with a well-equipped kitchen if you feel like cooking or making yourself a tea or coffee, and a comfy little lobby with sofas where you can hang out and chat with other travelers. Ended up meeting folks from Germany, Italy, France, and the US — really cool mix of people. The house runs on solar power, which I loved — eco-friendly without making a fuss about it. The owners are genuinely lovely people, running the place in a fair and honest way. It’s got that rare combo of comfort and community. Would definitely stay here again.

Noeline looked after us like a loving mother and made us feel at home. The rest of the staff are also very friendly and helpful. This is definitely the place we will stay at when we go back to Mannar

Ran by a wonderful family: this organization is working on mending the relationship between donkey and human. We stayed at the donkey clinic for a couple nights and got to know the impact of this place. We highly recommend you come stay at the clinic or at least come for a proper tour and get to know the donkeys and the people behind the project. Το The Palmyrah House έχει αίθουσα γυμναστικής, κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge και βεράντα, στον προορισμό Mannar. The food at this hotel was spectacular. It was the best food we ate in Sri Lanka. The chef is a genius. The staff are super-helpful and accommodated our requests.
