The bathroom includes free toiletries. A traditional, well-run hotel. We had a suite (the Senator’s Suite) which was huge and made us feel like VIPs! The staff were all fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant every night, the food was excellent. I recommend trying the Hansa coffee! The hotel is in the centre of town, so very convenient. Hansa Hotel was our favourite accommodation whilst in Namibia! We would definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

The Secret Garden has spacious rooms decorated modestly with wooden furniture which creates an vintage style but offering modern amenities. Each room has wooden or tiled floors, a seating area, an electric kettle, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Some rooms have televisions and mini fridges. The service was wonderful and they helped book a lovely desert tour on short notice. The rooms were spacious and there was ample parking for the truck. The location was great, very quiet but near enough to walk to shops and restaurants and the sea! If we make it back to Swakopmund in the future, we’ll definitely be back at the Secret Garden.
