Farm Stays in Hampi

A very quiet and serene property covered by private garden (personal plantations) on the front and rock boulders (identity of Hampi region in my opinion) with beautiful view on the back side, nestled away from the hustle bustle surrounded by agricultural land around. Even on a hot summer day, the garden keeps the surrounding cool. You don’t feel the hot summer. The rooms were very spacious for a home stay (similar to the size of the hotel rooms for the price or even better). It is a home stay run by a family, so food options are limited. Said that, quality of food was good. We only had breakfast in the property, which were very good on both the days. We had dosa, paddu and omelette. The host even offered us to provide lunch/dinner at cost (which even if you opt should come for less than what it would be in a hotel). Hosts were generous to offer assistance when needed, provided suggestions on places to visit and to plan to see places around Hampi. The garden covered with mango, neem and bamboo trees provides your vehicle a covered parking space with very less exposure to sun.

I booked this property very last minute and i am so glad I did. After travelling for a while it felt amazing to arrive to Om Home, with its mellow meditative music in the restaurant area. The room was super spacious and there was a hot water tap outside, convenient for evening bath. The view from the balcony this morning was also amazing. So, beautiful people, beautiful place, beautiful energy. I will definitely stay/come back for a longer period.

We are so happy we chose Saanvi Farmhouse. Everything was wonderful. The room had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. The location is great- so peaceful set amongst banana plantations, palm trees and the Hampi boulders. The veranda was a lovely place to sit after a day site seeing and watch all the birds and the monkeys. We also loved that the local village (with a great restaurant) is only a 10 minute walk away. It is also possible to walk to some of the temples and Hampi village (we did every morning, it takes about 20 /25 minutes and is a scenic walk). The owner, Huli, is so friendly and helpful, anything you need he is happy to help and is always ready with a smile. We stayed for three days but wish we had stayed for a lot longer.
