Perfect location, you are alone yet not so alone that it gets scary. It was perfectly clean and had a perfect porch to sit and enjoy some wine. The pool was a nice refreshment too. Huge braai pit to enjoy some food in the evening. Extremely nice and helpful staff.

The blue string room where we stayed was lovely and comfortable with stylish furniture and artwork. The bathroom with a separate shower had some nice hand-wash, etc. There was a small room for suitcases, and a little area to make tea and coffee with a small fridge. It isn't self-catering, but you can use the braai area, which was great, a bbq, sink, utensils, and a large dining table overlooking the pool. Our room had stunning mountain views. We had an excellent evening meal a short drive away at Mo & Rose recommended by Ezpeth, who couldn't do enough for us. If you want peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, this is for you.

Assegaai Rest was a hit with my family! They could not stop raving about the tipis, the cleanliness, and the warm hospitality they encountered. The tents are positioned in a picturesque spot and a real treasure. They relished being in the midst of nature and fully embracing this one-of-a-kind experience. The sound of a nearby river was a delightful backdrop, and they loved spending evenings by the fireplace. Tranquil setting and perfect place to have a relaxing break away. Being dog friendly was an extra bonus and our daughter's dog had a great time too. Hosts were particularly helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
