Everything. Very nice, modern, well furnished and equiped apartment with nice kitchen and comfy bed.
Breakfast was delicious, fresh home made bread, house eggs, home made jogurt was fabulous and fruits from the garden, milk and orange juice was on the fridge and home made cookies were absolutely delicious. I’m coffee lover so I appreciated nesspresso machine with milk steamer (fresh milk was available in the fridge ).
I was also very nicely suprised with dyson hairdryer which you can’t see even in the most luxurious hotel.
Moreover Kylie (host) was very nice, let our dauther to play in their garden, she let her feed her chickens and ship and let us to take some fruits from her garden.
We stayed just for one night, but it was great stay and when we’ll come back to New Zealand we’ll definitely stay here again.
Absolutely recommend Matamata country B&B 👍

Every aspect of this homestay is absolutely lovely. The home has beautiful interior decor and the hosts are so welcoming and accommodating.
Take the time to appreciate the beautiful aspects of their home, and have you feel like this is a home away from home for their guests.
Great facilities, nice and private and only about 10-12 minutes from Tuakau it's a great location to stay.
If you are fortunate enough to be offered a traditional Indian tea to drink I highly recommend saying yes.

Joanne and Neil are incredible hosts! We stayed for three nights, and honestly, we would have loved to stay longer. They own a little slice of heaven and are so generous in sharing it with others.
If you love animals and nature, this is the perfect spot for you. Every morning, we had the pleasure of feeding the Alpacas and Goats. We also got to meet Bear, the official welcoming dog, and even had a chance to feed the goldfish. It’s truly an amazing place to visit!
Everything you need is right there. The cabins are clean and tidy, and it’s clear that Joanne and Neil genuinely care about their guests’ comfort and enjoyment. We even took advantage of the BBQ a couple of nights, relaxing under the open skies filled with stars—such a delightful experience.
Thank you Joanne and Neil, we are more than happy with how this little trip went. Javiera will miss to see the Alpacas every day.

Lovely friendly hosts that communicated well and provided us with excellent driving instructions to find the location. We loved that the Loft was warm and cozy and had all the comforts we needed while away from home. We were touched by the home made brownie snack left in the kitchen for us. We felt very welcomed on the farm and enjoyed our short stay very much.

From the moment we arrived, they were VERY welcoming. The room was absolutely perfect. They were both so friendly. We chatted for a bit and got recommendations for a sightseeing flight tour(we ultimately ended up booking). They also offered for us to use the laundry room and gave us a tour of the farm. If we ever come back to NZ, we will definitely stay here again. It was perfect in every way!

Cleverly designed and built so that visitors can wake and see - from their beds - beautiful views all around, including the nearby field of alpacas! All the facilities are stylish and high spec, and everything is pristine clean. If you’re able to get up around 7.30/8am, you can help Neil feed the family’s alpacas and goats. And there are fantail birds filling the pine trees by the room pods, and fully grown (and still alive) kauri trees on the farm; it’s very special here.

The breakfast was self-serve, but there are enough facilities in the cute kitchenette to fix yourself a simple breakfast. We loved the fresh baked bread and ate the whole loaf between the 2 of us. The mini espresso maker was great and I especially appreciated it! The bed was comfy and the location was perfect for a quick hop over to Hobbiton. The idyllic farm setting was very charming though we did not spot any farm animals on our brief stay.
