The hotel is wonderful. The magic begins right after you check in, when you are handed the keys to the room. But this is a surprise. Must see for yourself. This is everything an English pub with rooms should be. Beautifully situated in a pretty village with various National Trust properties and other places of interest nearby. Service was impeccable. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated. Sadly, we couldn't dine there as we were attending a party elsewhere. However, we did have breakfast the next morning and it was excellent.
