I received a lovely, warm welcome as soon as I arrived and was bold-over by the kindness of all hotel staff for the duration of my stay. The food & service were excellent for a ‘hotel restaurant.’ Breakfast was delicious and much enjoyed with a view from the top floor. I felt the hotel service to be personable and I was always offered help or assistance without ever needing to ask. My room was comfortable, light and well-equipped. (How lovely to receive so many refreshments on the house! I learnt a new word: Kalosorisate - which I feel sums up Greek culture beautifully). The proximity of the hotel to restaurants, bars, cafés & shops is unbeatable. And, of course, the Acropolis. My experience in 5* hotels would call The Athenaeum excellent value for money. I think the service, particularly, is what stands out to me. Thank you for my stay.
