An exquisite art nouveau property where attention to every historic detail has not comprised today's comfort requirements. Taking coffee or aperitivo in the grand lounge was like being in a movie about elegant Italian dukes and royalty at the turn of the 19th century. I liked the individual aircon settings and the bath was large enough to float in. A delicious breakfast with hot and cold choices was served in a magnificent dining room. The hotel is next to the central station and close to palazzo museums.

Breakfast was fantastic. Roberto made me a double espresso coffee every morning. Good he knew what I like and it was perfect. Eddy was also a nice Guy as were the Reception staff.

We stayed here for our 25th anniversary trip to Italy on our way from the Lake Como area and before visiting Portofino and the Cinque Terre and Tuscany. The hotel was very kind to upgrade us to a beautiful bay view with balcony. It was spectacular. We had a drink there and then ate in their restaurant, which was good. Breakfast was also very good and had lots of options. Espresso drinks were wonderful. I chose this hotel because it also had a nice gym, and I enjoyed it and its spectacular view. We were hoping to eat at the seaside restaurant and sit by the pool because the weather was in the 80s, but they were clsoed for the season. :( We visited Santa Marguirita Ligure, which was lovely, for lunch, and very close by.
