The interior, the cozy candle lights in your room, the restaurant and ofcourse the staff who will make you feel you are the only one at the resort. Special thanks to Amith the Cheff who prepared a special vegan dinner for me. Would have booked extra nights here if we didn’t need to go back home.

Couldn’t recommend this property more, 11/10. Justin and his team were fantastic with arranging all we needed, welcoming us, and going above and beyond with requests. Justin arranged a private cooking lesson for me with his chef which I would highly recommend. It is a small collection of private villas so there is complete peace and calm. The villas were luxurious and roomy for a couple and would definitely be a great place to stay for a family vacation. The food was by far the best and most authentic we had in Sri Lanka and outranked all other hotel food. Fresh fruit was amazing. The safari arranged by Wild Lotus was a stunning private experience to be remembered forever, with a comfortable Land Rover for the ride. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at on our trip. The “King’s Residence” room was unbelievable. Definitely recommend this room if you can get it. The food was great as was the ice tea we were given on arrival. Best ice tea in Sri Lanka. The service we received was very high quality. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and we will definitely stay here again. Thanks again for the hospitality! Cheers Andrew and Sib - Australia

Another lovely beautifully restored residence on Lighthouse Street, a few meters from the bastion. The morning tour arranged by the hotel is not to be missed. Again the staff primarily Prasad was extraordinary, he managed this delightful 4 room boutique hotel with efficiency, superbly. Breakfast was at Fort Bazar, a short walk from 42 Lighthouse, another interesting hotel, with wonderful staff. These restored colonial Dutch homes are a treat to stay and we would certainly recommend

we had a suite on top of the hotel with a big balcony and a good view on the street life. The room was big enough so we had a living corner with a couch and a saloon table. The bathroom was equiped with a shower and a bad tube. Very special was the "champagne botton", where you could order a glass of champagne from the room.
