I really made the right choice with this homestay in Pingyao! The location is absolutely a hidden gem—just a two-minute walk gets you to Rishengchang Bank, so there’s no need to get up early to soak in the Jin merchant culture. It’s super convenient to head back for a break after visiting the attractions. What’s more, the surrounding area is bustling with life. When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!

Super excellent hotel in Pingyao old town. Staffs are so friendly and provide us a lot of help. Hotel is newly renovated, clean and comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights and next time will definitely come back.

The hotel is located in a very representative part of the city, with the river boulevard, a large shopping gallery, a park, and a plaza with museums and a concert hall all nearby. Taiyuan does not have good public transport, so taxis are the only viable option from the railway stations. The room is spacious and offers the quality one would expect at this price and star level. The staff speak passable English – something that is, unfortunately, becoming increasingly rare in China these days.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her staff. The structure is in the heart of the city, and has an enchanting internal cloister. The rooms are large and equipped with every comfort. The bathroom has both a bathtub and a shower. We felt at home and really appreciated the owner's hospitality and friendliness. We will definitely return.

You are welcomed in a serene and relaxing environment. The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. Located in the heart of the historic centre. The staff went above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay, with special mention to Crystal, who was particularly outstanding. Her proactive communication before and during our visit made a significant difference. She assisted us in arranging transportation, booking massages, securing tickets for attractions, and even organizing a special birthday surprise for our family. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a blend of relaxation and exceptional hospitality.

Great location, huge clean room and bathroom, big windows, I really like it. The breakfast selection is great, you can find everything, chinese and western food too. Next time again...
