Everything is clean, great atmosphere,amazing food, beautiful decorations, great Staff. Very friendly . The beach is clean and beautiful , great sunsets. It is easy to mingle around without getting lost inside the hotel. I didn’t use the spa which seem amazing but I am definitely coming back and that will be one of the things I won’t miss. 🥰

Located 100 metres from the beach, Hotel Irotama Lago offers on-site marine activities, 3 outdoor swimming pools and a spa and fitness centre. WiFi is available. Activities for children are organised.... Everything was nearly 100%, the staff members from reception, cleaners bar members and entertainment were very friendly, the food was limited but nice, really nice private location, rooms were super clean and spacious. Amazing views.

Our stay was perfect. The location is a little oasis in the jungle with beautiful rooms and common areas. The hosts are a wonderful family that truly go above and beyond for their guests. The food was also excellent. 1000/10 stay I could not recommend this hotel more!!

We stayed at Cayena by Masaya after visiting Tayrona Park, and it was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, from the reception to the restaurant team. The hotel has only a few rooms, which made it feel peaceful and never crowded—we always found a great spot to lounge by the beautiful, large pool (perfect for a proper swim). There’s also a covered area with yoga equipment, and we loved starting the day with a beach-front workout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a super comfy bed, working AC, hot water, and complimentary refillable drinking water. The restaurant was a highlight—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, and the à la carte prices were very reasonable, so we were happy to eat at the hotel. There are beds on the beach, but we mostly stayed by the pool since the ocean had big waves and a small sandy area during our visit (great for surfers, though). Overall, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely recommend Cayena for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing setting.

Placita Vieja Hotel Boutique Spa is located at Parque de Los Novios next to the restaurants and bars in the Historic Center of Santa Marta, 200m from the beach. Super friendly staff and owner. The owner helped us organize a boat trip to a secluded beach and even drove us to the port. Overall, the customer service was simply outstanding: We were brought food and cocktails to the pool, had huge customized breakfasts and a lot of personal attention during our stay. The rooms are tastefully decorated. The rooftop swimming pool (with a Turkish steam bath) can rival those of 5 star hotels. Location: in the heart of the old city.
