We stayed at Cayena by Masaya after visiting Tayrona Park, and it was exactly what we needed to relax and unwind. The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, from the reception to the restaurant team. The hotel has only a few rooms, which made it feel peaceful and never crowded—we always found a great spot to lounge by the beautiful, large pool (perfect for a proper swim). There’s also a covered area with yoga equipment, and we loved starting the day with a beach-front workout. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a super comfy bed, working AC, hot water, and complimentary refillable drinking water. The restaurant was a highlight—breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious, and the à la carte prices were very reasonable, so we were happy to eat at the hotel. There are beds on the beach, but we mostly stayed by the pool since the ocean had big waves and a small sandy area during our visit (great for surfers, though). Overall, we had a perfect stay and would absolutely recommend Cayena for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful, relaxing setting.

If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing place to unwind with great food and amazing staff, this is the place. Drink and food service at the beach and pool. Highly Recommend the mixed ceviche. Massages on site. Hot water showers and breakfast with several options to choose from. Good WiFi. You can also hike to a nearby waterfall for the afternoon. Highly recommended. I will be back when I can stay longer!

We booked the cabana El Cielo, that is at the highest point, with a 360 view of the jungle just outside Tayrona park. Everything is brand new and you can see that everything was created with a lot of care and attention to details. The room is super spacious with a very comfy bed. You have two bathrooms, one inside the room and one with the shower in a separate area outside together with a fully equipped kitchen. The space outside the room is fantastic and peaceful, with a small private pool and hammock. You can see birds, colibri, and just feel fully connected with nature. We did not have enough time to enjoy the big common pool, but it looked great. All the staff was super friendly and kind. Ana Maria and Thomas were available for everything. They assisted us with transportation, gave us advices for activities in the area, and helped us ordering food in the evening (which was delivered directly to our room). The breakfast was delicious, with ingredients directly coming from their farm and plenty of fresh fruits. We had the avocado tostones every day, they were so good! I am so glad we booked this place, it was one of the best we’ve ever been and I would recommend it to everyone that want to visit Tayrona and stay in close contact with nature.
