Fantastic stay, even better than expected. We loved our stay in Salamanca and definitely want to come back again. A large part of that is due to Hospes Palacio de San Esteban. It is a historic property next to a monastery in the very heart of Salamanca, but due to the monastery it is very quiet. There is an outdoor pool, which was great in the July heat to cool down after we arrived. Staff was really nice and helpful, valet took care of our car and charged it as well for our trip to Madrid the next day. We explored Salamanca by foot from the hotel which is really easy. Breakfast is good as well.

Loved my stay here, and the extremely early breakfast (picnic) setup for me personally so I could leave on my camino. The staff was very helpful and accommodating to my early arrival and check-in, making a room available exceptionally quickly. (Arrived at 11:00 rather than the standard 14:00 check-in) Room is very sizable, and the bathroom is truly wonderful with all amenities (including a bathtub). Coffee machine /tea was a nice extra in the room.

Our dog was very well accepted, and he was able to dine with us on the terrace of the Vinoteca The wines were excellent, and the wine tour with Francisco was insightful and engaging. Definitely a must-do. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, the team went above and beyond by upgrading us to the Master Suite, a gesture that truly made our stay memorable. The suite was incredible, and their attention to detail made us feel so special. The pool was relaxing, and all the amenities were spotless. In summary, this is truly a top-tier hotel that will stay in our hearts forever. Abadía Retuerta delivered not just a stay but an experience we will always cherish.
