The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko features restaurants, fitness centre, a lobby lounge bar and shared lounge in Nikko situated by Lake Chuzenji and overlooking Mount Nantai. We had the most wonderful time at the hotel! Staff were very professional and welcoming, breakfast was outstanding, the whole stay very relaxing! Onsent was incredible. The hotel is located by beautiful lake, great for walks and long runs!

But what really sets this place apart is the golf course. Booking a tee time was smooth, the facilities are top-class, and the course itself—let’s just say it’s a hidden sanctuary. It’s not just beautiful—it’s well kept, challenging in all the right ways, and most of all, private. You feel like the place is yours for the day. As someone who plays in different countries, I can say this course is truly on a professional level. And after the rounds? The onsen is exactly what you want: peaceful, restorative, and tucked into the rhythm of the land. This isn’t just a resort—it’s a place I could imagine living. It was very easy to find and accessing the room was easy. Literally right across the street from Utsunomiya Station. We could even see it from our room. We liked that there were so many beds, it was spacious, the rooms were clean, the kitchen was spotless and came with free food such as microwaveable pasta, water, etc (1 per guest). The TV is huge and we could watch Netflix and YouTube. The apartment is on the top floor so noise was never a problem. My favorite part of place was probably the bathroom. It was BIG, AND the tub is a jacuzzi! All amenities, dishes and the such were included so the place actually felt like home.
