It's such a luxurious place in a traditional way....a beautiful room with high ceilings and a great view, and the most wonderful breakfasts! Most Tokyo 4/5 star hotels are too large and impersonal for me, generally high rises, but Tokyo Station is old fashioned and comforting and I like the smaller scale. Not to mention the central location...so easy to get to any part of Tokyo from there with direct access to the JR Yamanote line. The open space of the huge plaza in front is lovely, giving open and distant views. Despite the nearby trains and the people gathering for photos in the plaza, the rooms are silent inside with the double glazed windows.

Marunouchi Hotel is a minute's walk from Tokyo Station Marunouchi North Exit and a 10-minute taxi ride from Tsukiji Fish Market. It features 4 dining options, a massage service and rooms with free WiFi. Amazing location and truly traditionally named hotel! The staff is makes you feel the true Japanese hospitality! The facilities are a little old however it is managed in pristine condition!! The cleaning is perfect and the room size is roomier than other business level hotels Also they are currently going under renovation so I can expect that the rooms will be very much upgraded:) One important info is, even though they are going through renovation I haven’t seen any sign of construction going on, which was great. No worries on staying there! Will definitely visit here again.

The Cerulean Tower is just a 5-minute walk away from Shibuya Station, providing access to many train and subway lines. From there it is a 2-minute train ride to Harajuku and the Meiji Jingu Shrine. We booked the Executive Floor level which included free breakfast at the lounge and 2 other resturants. The breakfast buffet at the main floor was exceptional. It was nice to have the other options as well.

Situated in Tokyo, 500 metres from Takatsukisan Chozenji Temple, illi Tas Shinjuku features views of the city. The 5-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. The property is 100 metres from Taiso-ji Temple, and within 2.9 km of the city centre. It was a perfect stay. For four people with big luggage the size of the room was a great fit. We did not have any issues with moving around the room. The beds are extra comfy and the open space with the fully equipped kitchen is great for hanging out and having some snacks. The bathroom is spacious and we appreciated the separate shower from the 2 sinks and toilet. Everything is new and the self check-in was easy. Location was also convenient in Shinjuku not very far from the metro station.
