Situated between the city of Braga and the Gerês Mountain Range, this luxurious hotel is a former Cistercian Monastery of the XII century. Facilities include an outdoor pool and a tennis court. The property is a hidden gem, tucked away in what can only be described as a piece of history. Absolutely stunning interiors-unique but tasteful. The staff were fabulous and welcoming in all areas of the hotel and you can tell they are very passionate about the property. I would note that this is not the place to go for nightlife, it’s for those wishing to relax and unwind and appreciate nature and the beautiful surroundings. Get out in the car and explore the wonderful scenery on offer and you will not be disappointed. Well done to all.

Melia Braga Hotel & Spa offers superior 5-star accommodation with excellent transport connections to the city centre. The hotel features a spa with indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub and sauna. The pool was great and the breakfast had everything to choose from.

I cannot say enough good things about this charming little hotel. Only a one night stay and I wish it had been longer. The staff, the grounds, the rooms, the decorations, the views, and everything else about it far exceeded my expectations.
