Featuring an inviting outdoor seasonal pool, Hualien Farglory Hotel has luxurious, air-conditioned rooms with a balcony offering mountain or sea views. A 15-minute drive from Hualien City, it has 3 dining options. the management was there waiting for us when we arrived, was very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay very pleasant: they took us to our room, they welcomed us in the dining room with a warm welcome speech, the food was delicious specially the duck was amazing, there was a soprano singer of very high level which gave a wonderful atmosphere during dinner, there was also a scientist on the roof top to give explanation about the stars and the telescope,... I think I can say we have never been welcomed so warmly in a hotel

Very nice owners. Felt at home. Went the extra mile to ensure I have everything I needed. Luxury room for the money! Very good and fair price. Shower very big and good water pressure. Bed very comfortable. Everything just perfect!
old luxury hotel (vintage), good location next to the train & bus stations, view on mountains
Luxury after a long bike ride. The rooms are enormous and we made great use of the in-room hot spring tub. The bathroom was huge and the layout was great with the shower and tub next to each other. We participated in pizza making and wine / coffee tasting - we were hungry so they made the extra effort to get us more pizza supplies.
For the price it is fair . Just that the room itself is not as chic as it is shown on the pictures . It is clean , it is decent size . The facility is basic . The breakfast is alright considered that it is included . Staff was helpful . Location is good , conveniently located close to the station . A bit far from the market though . So depends on what you want. It is a good value stay if you simply need a place to stay .
The B&B is run by a nice family, who cares about their guests' comfort. I liked the small luxury of always having some fruit prepared in the evening. Special mention for being so calm and helpful in the earthquake aftermath, made us feel much safer!
Nice air-conditioner, clean room, look luxury
Treat this as a hotel and you might find it a little remote (unless you have you own transport). Think of it as a retreat for a few days and it is superb. The venue itself is supremely comfortable and relaxing and the hosts go out of their way to facilitate this. Lifts to town were offered (and declined!), but we did take up the offer of bringing back dinner. The ‘simple’ in-house breakfast was the best that we have had on this two month trip away.
The hostel has a nice industrial look that conveys luxury. Overall, it feels like it’s well invested in and the facilities are all of good quality
