The hotel staff (especially Jainesha -I hope I spelled her name correctly!) were very nice and professional. I got a massage at the hotel and it was a very good experience too. Highly recommended this hotel for anyone looking for a high quality hotel and welcoming staff.

Like many others in South Africa - specially in Garden Route - the staff was specially careful and nice. It was our honeymoon and they manage to guarantee everything, including a boat ride from Gansbaai. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the city of Hermanus is a very special destination to enjoy.

You can enjoy views of the sea from specific public areas and certain rooms and balconies. My husband and I stayed here for our first wedding anniversary and it was absolutely lovely. So quiet and tranquil and we stayed in a beautiful room with a sea view where we could see some whales.

The beautiful cape Dutch buildings in a fairytale lush green surrounding, with an actual river on the kloof and breathtaking mountainviews Good location, very comfortable rooms excellent breakfast and lovely staff!

From the moment we were greated by name by the security guard to the time we left, our stay at the Marine was excellent. The staff were very helpful and professional. We had a wonderful dinner and breakfast.

The air-conditioned suites of Grootbos feature floor-to-ceiling windows, making the suites light and airy. All suites offer a spacious lounge with a cosy fireplace, satellite TV and a DVD player, and a private wooden deck. Incredible views and amazing design. The cottage was very well thought out with a living room, separate bedroom, and connecting outdoor space. Facilities were very thoughtful — outlets everywhere, functional bathroom, etc. Food was very good.

The house offers a complimentary shuttle service in an around Hermanus and a concierge desk. Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly Ocean view from floor to ceiling window in room is breathtaking One night stay only - wish we had had time for a couple more days!
