THis facility is EXCELLENT!!! What a dream of a place to relax and vacation. Mother Nature provided rain for many days but we were comfortable, well taken are of and enjoyed the clean indoor pool and sauna. Gorgeous grounds, fantastic breakfast and afternoon "Kaffee und Kuchen" with delights backed by Margareta (the owner) herself. This is a family operated hotel and restaurant and we were truly spoiled. They all went above and beyond helping us (when our rental car would not start), catered to our needs for our 93 year old mother and were always kind, friendly and accommodating. The restaurant on the property called the Mostschenke im Heustadl and provides a five star Austrian experience in dining. The family has been on this property since the 1600's and have up-dated and built the hotel in the last ten - twelve years. The Mostschenke is the renovated cattle barn and it a delightful venue for dining. The Hotel is clean, bright and the two bedroom chalet suite is a dream for a family vacation. We had a wonderful time. The place was well-maintained and tastefully decorated. There were no problems at all. All the amenities and facilities were excellent, exactly as described. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Located in a very beautiful and quiet area. The breakfast was exceptional. If we visit this place again, it will be our first choice. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely loved this place. I could not recommend it more! The spa facilities were exceptional, i had a facial and that was great! The food was great. The staff were all professional and helpful. I would 100% stay here again. Worth the price tag.

Perfect location, lake view from the room and from the breakfast area. Silent and beatiful room, with lots of pretty details. Friendly staff. Brakfast had also everything ehats needed. Would like to give 6 out of 5 stars!

The hotel is well situated, just across the river and a 2 minute walk from the main avenue. It's about a five minute walk from the train station. The room was a good size and the bathroom was also good. Bed was very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was a nice treat with good offerings. The hotel restaurant is closed on Wednesday nights but they have a good suggestion for a nearby Austrian restaurant with good schnitzel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again should I find myself in Bad Ischl.
