There is no 24/7 reception desk, however, the check-in process for late arrivals is quite interesting and thrilling yet well set. You'd receive a code to enter the hotel, and then you'd pick up an envelope with room keys / cards. Very pleasant experience communicating with the personnel of this hotel. Good breakfast.

It is the perfect location if you want to visit Genoa (as it is at a 15 min walk to the city center, the old port and the main attractions) or Cinque Terre/Portofino or other cities by train (being next to the Piazza Principe train station). Very clean, nice staff and very good facilities.
