The decor of the hotel is very traditional, warm and inviting. The breakfast was wonderful. It was a traditional Scottish breakfast served in a beautifully decorated warm, inviting dining room. The service was friendly and the food was excellent.

There are 10 bedrooms with superior en suite bathrooms, and Wheatsheaf has achieved an overall rating of 84% from VisitScotland for outstanding standards in food, service and ambience. Very personable and friendly team. Long distance drive meant that I would be arriving late. Not a problem for the Wheatsheaf Inn, I received a phone call half-way through my journey to see how I was getting on. Rooms very clean, I had a great night sleep, bed was very comfy. The breakfast was 10/10 with lots of choices outside of your standard cooked breakfast.

Despite its peaceful rural location, Cringletie House is only about 30 minutes drive from Edinburgh and Edinburgh Airport. The convenient, yet secluded location makes the small country-house hotel ideal for a relaxing or romantic break. It was perfect nature around the hotel. I was really surprised that such a sweet hotel is in country side. The staffs were very kind and helpful. Food were very delicious, especially the main meat. I will come again in the near future.
