We only stayed one night but would have loved to stay more! We arrived early in the day and were offered breakfast and they were also able to have our room ready early, which was fantastic! Can't recommend Aathma Colombo House enough. We had a few hours exploring Colombo and it was quick to get to the city by Tuk Tuk.

Unloaded our luggage before we went down and they brought it right to our room after check in. During check-in they gave us a nice refreshing shot of a tamarind cooler. The room's sea view was really quite amazing. It was even more amazing from the pool which we enjoyed. They provided beach towels to use while we were up there and there were very comfortable loungers to use under sun umbrellas. The pool itself was an infinity pool where you have a view into the ocean on one end. The room itself was really good. The bed and pillows were all very comfortable and the fridge worked great. The shower was really amazing. The water pressure was good and hot water came out in a matter of seconds. Huge mirror and well-lit and towels were soft and fluffy. Breakfast in the morning was amazing. Maybe they fixed it after all the other reviews. We had a buffet that included a fresh omlette/waffle/pancake station, assortment of different breads, warm food (rice, roti, hoppers, curry, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, baked beans, grilled tomatoes), cold cuts, salad, fresh fruits, sweet pastries, tea, coffee, juice... Not sure what else other people needed but for us it was plenty! The service is also very good. Everyone was very friendly and always smiling. It was really nice to see. They were also always very responsive and kind with us. The location was rather central. About 10mins to the Galle Face Green area, 15mins into the dutch hospital area, about 15minutes to the national museum and Independence Square area. If I come back to Colombo again, I would definitely stay here again!
