Located in historic Haymarket Square in the Portsmouth city centre, this hotel is housed in a charming Victorian manor house and offers free Wi-Fi and Continental breakfast. Market Square, with all its shops and restaurants, is just 500 metres away. Although we arrived late we were warmly welcomed and introduced to the amenities of the hotel. The hotel is unique in its style and its special furniture; we liked the common areas with comfortable sofas and armchairs, the big kitchen where a varied breakfast was served and where the guests get little snacks, water, tea and coffee throughout the whole day. There is a parking lot behind the building; the city centre is within walking distance!

Great restoration of classic grand hotel with a dazzling array of on-site restaurant choices, outdoor activities, both indoor and outdoor heated pools, spa, etc., etc. Staff were super friendly and overall tone was helpful and pleasant. Room for two was on the smaller side but fine, and king bed was incredibly comfortable. Heat was well-regulated and quiet. Great shower.

The property features a spa and a tennis court. Friendly staff, great amenities, wonderful outdoor scenery. Great views of the mountains, plenty of things to do onsite. Excellent food.
