It is a quiet residential area with a local corner shop just around the corner where you can immediately buy milk and other stuff for a family with little kids. Tesco is only a 2-minute drive or a 5-7 minute walk away. The host was very nice, have to call him to ask for the passkey for the key box, answered the calls straight away and explained everything. The bedrooms were nice and clean with new bedsheets replaced.

The glamping pod was clean and warm. The bed was comfy and the staff were really lovely and helpful.

Cross Farm Retreat features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 18 km of Victoria Theatre and 34 km of Heaton Park.

Utter relaxation - We had a great weekend with lots of walks from the doorstep of our cabin (Studley Pike and Todmorden are both a must whilst stopping here) then returning for a lovely soak - words cannot describe how good for the soul an outside bath is! Cooking dinner outside was also a really enjoyable experience, as was sitting around the fire in the evening. Perfect place for a weekend break to get away from it all, we shall be returning in the future.
