Very nice location, close enough to the city of Alkmaar, nice restaurants nearby. Beautiful view when getting out of the tent. Fire pit and freshly cut wood was a bonus! There is a donkey and other animals that could possibly wake you up a little bit earlier then expected but this adds to the whole expirience!

We had a very enjoyable stay (cycling). Special thanks to Margret who is a friendly, helpful and personable host. The interior of the wagon is thoughtfully designed to make optimum use of the space to suit two adults, with all mod cons while keeping the character of the traditional "pipowagen". I had an amazing time. When I first booked, I thought I might be spending a work vacation on the boat. However, I came to the conclusion that I needed to take advantage of the opportunity to just rest and relax. I did yoga, meditation, journaling, and went on long walks and bikes. The city is easily accessible by bike, but I spent most of my time out and around the dike, where it was calm and beautiful. The boat was quite comfortable, in my opinion. I slept extremely well, and I felt safe.
