We stayed 2 nights at Starwatching Private Camp and had an incredible time. The camp is nestled about a 45 minute drive into the desert in a remote setting. The opportunity to switch off from the world was a welcomed opportunity! The food was excellent, the facilities for the restroom were far above what I expected for being in the desert, and the tent is very spacious and comfortable. We spent our first night alone at camp and walked up the dunes to watch sunset before having dinner and then sitting out by the firepit enjoying the calmness of our surroundings. The second day another couple had rented the tent and it was nice to have the company! We had another excellent dinner together and then we separated from the couple to go up onto the star gazing platform to layout and watch the stars. To top it all off, the team who looked after us provided the best care. Usman and Imran looked after us ensuring we had everything we needed at camp and the gem that is Ali guided us in to camp, to our hotel air balloon we had booked and back again, waking up very early to ensure we didn't miss our activities and provided much insight into the lives of those living within the desert and in Oman. Ali was so welcoming and friendly, he made the whole experience even more enjoyable! Our experience was 5 stars, it is a wonderful treasure in the middle of the desert and I cannot wait for the opportunity to go back.

Fantastic stay at Desert Wonders Camp - I would highly recommend to anybody considering to book, look no further! We took a transfer into the desert, which included a sunset tour. Nassar was great, driving around the dunes and telling us all about the desert and how it has changed over the years. We even met his camels, who were very friendly and loved a pet! Sunset was really beautiful, I would recommend taking the tour if you come. The tent we had was great - large and very comfortable. For food - dinner and breakfast were simple but very well cooked, flavourful and plentiful food. Tea, coffee, dates and water are available around the clock. Lastly, all the staff at the camp were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable stay 😊😊🔥🔥

The Desert Diamond Camp is exceptional! 👌🏼 Had the best stay there, the camp was luxurious but felt authentic, the food was really tasty and in big portions, and finally, the managers and workers were incredibly kind and offered such an amazing experience!     Amazing experience. It provides a genuine taste of the desert (great sights of dunes and starry nights, a sunset trip to the dunes with the extra perk of dune riding on a jeep), but also offers enough comfort for those who are not too keen on camping. The tents are large, clean and equipped with soft beds and even a small restroom (where you can truly shower under the stars). The staff is very nice. Absolutely recommended.

    We opted for the pickup and dune bashing for OMR15 each. It was good fun and the sunset from the top of the dunes was amazing. The camp was neat and clean. We were the only four guests, which made it extra special. The food was super and plentiful, and water, tea, coffee and dates available all the time. Star gazing at night by the campfire was perfect! Our tent had a private bathroom. We could tell that some had shared facilities. Overall it ticked all the points for us in terms of a desert experience.
