Operation is exquisite, thanks to owners, Severine and Mogan. They have a clear operational philosophy, and it shows in every detail. The view from the deck is so relaxing, especially after a long drive. We stayed in the campsite, and its ablution was the cleanest of our entire trip (probably the cleanest of all Botswana). A true gem in the rough, literarily! Highly recommended. Make sure you drive a 4x4 to get there.

Guests will have a special experience as this tent provides a fireplace. Prachtige locatie. Tientallen vogels vliegen hier voorbij. Titi was een vriendelijke gastheer. Er werd heerlijk voor ons gekookt. De tent was ruim en heerlijk koel om in te slapen. We hebben genoten van de boottocht en het bezoek aan de dorpen.

Close to maun but yet you still feel like you in the true wilderness. The camp has a home feel and everyone is very welcoming and friendly. There is some great projects happening at the camp and looking forward to seeing them develop as time goes on.

Fantastische locatie, fantastische staff, wij hadden Fly als gids tijdens onze wandelsafari en river cruise. Hij had veel leuke verhalen, we hebben veel krokodillen, nijlpaarden en mooie vogels gespot en hij voelde heel goed aan wat we leuk vonden. Echt een aanrader.

These sand colored tents feature an en suite bathroom with shower and toilet. They are equipped with a mosquito net, tea-and-coffee making facilities and a terrace with outdoor dining area. We were looking for a convenient stopover close to Maun but outside of town, and Tshima Bush Camp, located about 30 minutes toward Ghanzi, suited us perfectly. We stayed in Tent No. 4, which was both practical and comfortable, furnished with beautiful, handcrafted pieces made by the owner, Russell. A real highlight was the bathroom—with its half-wall of netting, we could enjoy the sunrise right from the shower, which was a lovely way to start the day. Although we hadn’t originally planned to have dinner at the camp, we’re so glad we decided to. Russell and Verena are warm, attentive hosts who prepared an outstanding meal. Every detail—from the homemade mayonnaise served with fresh chips to the perfectly cooked steak and béarnaise sauce—was thoughtful and delicious. The breakfast basket the next morning was a delightful surprise and much appreciated. It’s clear how much care and attention Russell and Verena put into their owner-run camp. Their personal touch was felt throughout our stay. Thank you both for your kind hospitality.
