This was one of the most amazing places we’ve ever stayed. After a day doing safari on crescent island arriving here was the cherry on the cake. The views are absolutely magical and the tent has everything you’d need. We even had a storm in the evening and the tent was able to withstand it. Communication from the host was also great, very helpful and responsive - a really personal experience. We no doubt will be coming back to this heavenly location.

This tent has a private bathroom, a tea and coffee maker, a barbecue as well as a patio. The unit has 1 bed. Everything! The location is stunning and peaceful, but only 2 hours drive from Nairobi. The tent is airy and beautifully furnished, with super comfortable bed, great hot shower, a small kitchen with fridge and microwave and there is WiFi (but you might want to switch all your devices off and just immerse yourself in the place!). We just lounged on the gorgeous veranda, watching birds and monkeys. The outdoor bath is spectacular, you can sit in hot water on the cool nights and watch the stars. And as a huge bonus, you can swim in the river which is 5min walk down the hill! The stuff and hosts are so welcoming. One of the best places we've ever stayed, highly recommended!

The Elewana Tortilis Camp was in a beautiful setting and the staff pulled out all of the stops to make our stay memorable. From the morning coffee/tea and cookies at wake-up to the breakfast in the bush and sundowner on top of a hill with staff Masai teaching us about their culture, the staff outdid themselves. The guide knew exactly how to track the elusive cats so that we were able to see a lioness and her 5 cubs and a cheetah and her 5 cubs. Not to mention the herds of elephants and many giraffes! What an amazing sight! Peris, Chris, Jimma, Ben, Graeme and Sandy, as well as all of the other staff whose names I have sadly forgotten, made for a fantastic safari experience!

This place is simplicity at it's best. The staff, Lucy and Janet, were both helpful in every way possible. Sometimes even going out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. The meals were delicious and the compound very clean. The place was very quiet and so serene that you feel part of the environment. Amazing for a one-two day getaway. Given how close it is to the lake, the experience of staying here will only get better if they trim the bushes and trees to have a better view of the lake.

This spacious, fully-furnished tent opens onto a wooden patio. It contains a 4-poster bed with a mosquito net and a private bathroom with a claw-foot tub. Loved our time at Kilima - the staff was extremely friendly and even gave us a room upgrade! We were very pleasantly surprised with the food - everything was delicious and super well-seasoned. Chef Edward came out to meet us as well. The location is great, right next to the entrance to the park. Just keep in mind if you come from Nairobi you'll probably have to drive through the park to get to the hotel and consequently pay the entry fee, which is valid for 24h). From the room, you can admire breathta king views of Mount Kilimanjaro, with spectacular sunrises and sunsets as a bonus. The cottages are tastefully minimalistic-both elegant and exceptionally comfortable. Service is impeccable. Chef David's culinary creations are outstanding, Sylvie made us feel truly at home, and Levi was always quick to respond to our questions and arranged an unforgettable safari experience. wholeheartedly recommend this property for anyone visiting the area. It was a unique and memorable stay, and I can't wait to return.

The place is quite and remote and has the best safari view! We saw many animals from up close. The team was very welcoming and made sure we were good with everything:) The facilities were all working and the food took a lot of time to arrive but it was very good and cheap. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed very much!
