Popular points of interest near the lodge include Lazy Beach, Saracen Bay Beach and Sunset Beach. Our teepees were in beautiful shade but fronted the amazing beach. The beach was superb and kept really clean unlike elsewhere in Cambodia we had been. It was so peaceful. None of the few restaurants/bars chose to play any music at all which was a nice change from other places. The swimming, beach walking, sunset were stunning. We also hired a paddle board which was fun. The simple menu was tasty. We were there on one of the pizza nights and they were fired in a wood oven and delicious. The staff made calls and helped us with our ongoing journey which we appreciated.

Facing the beachfront, On the Rocks offers 3-star accommodation in Koh Rong Sanloem and features a garden, private beach area and terrace. Guests can enjoy Cambodian dishes at the restaurant or have a cocktail at the bar. This place is just great. The tents are big and you'll have more than enough space for everything. The mattress wasn't better or worse than most others I slept on here on Cambodia. However, the best was that the place is very quiet since it is a little outside of the small village. The terrace is big and mostly deserted during the day which makes it a nice place to work or relax. Down the stairs at the water there are a few sun loungers and you have excess to a quite area of the sea. Further, you can get snorkeling equipment for free. In the evenings you can have very tasty bbq at the terrace (closed Thursdays) for a fair price (speaking of price, the overall price for the tent is more than fair!). Lastly, Scott and his team are all super nice, welcoming and friendly. I booked 8 nights since I was going to scuba dive for some time but ended up extending my stay for 3 additional nights.

I really enjoyed my stay, it is easy to (re)connect with yourself and nature - walking barefoot every day all day, jumping in the sea or just chilling in the bar area reading or talking with fellow guests. There is yoga every morning - a great start of the day. I stayed in the female dorm, there was enough space, bed was comfy. There is storage for your bags under the beds. There is charger and small reading lamp by every bed. You can see the bioluminescent planktons every night directly from the beach or you can go on a boat tour which is very much fun. The beach is so long (and clean) you can easily find a spot to be just by yourself. Trekking in the jungle is also a nice option, there are trails to other beaches on the island. There are sandflies but I did not find them as bothering.

Maloop was awesome in our time of need. He supplied cigarettes when we were stressed. The food was pretty good, and ms Maloop made a great mango smoothie.
