My partner and I enjoyed every aspect of this experience in the Mhamid desert and in the camp we chose to spend the night. After the tour on the back of the dromedary we arrive in Camp Desert Trips already rich from the experience we have just had and it was no less there. We were welcomed by the staff who are like a family, they immediately offered us a hot mint tea (the first of a long series) and then we enjoyed excellent Moroccan specialties for dinner to end the evening with our eyes fixed on the sky at admire the stars while listening to the traditional songs and music of this welcoming people around the fire.

From the moment we met Larbi there was an instant connection. His welcoming warmth made us feel at home. We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

The camp has the perfect location, I came by share taco and they picked me up with a motorcycle from the Main Street. All of the staff are lovely people, I felt more than welcome and really had a great experience! The food was great, my tent really spacious and beautiful and the facilities clean. Would definitely recommend it to anybody who wants to stay for one or more nights in the desert but doesn’t want to book a guided tour!

We didn't know what to expect except what we had read in the reviews. We really liked the food, the tranquillity, the atmosphere, the entertainment, and the cat.

Not big dunes, but you can experience the sand colors during sunset and sunrise. The road to the camp is accessible to any type of car. The communication with the host was perfect, and I was waited in the nearby village to be guided to the camp. Comfortably sleeping in the tent. Clean toilet, hot water, shower. Good meals, but the dinner is overpriced. If you need wifi, the hosts provide hotspot access on their phones. Otherwise, note that Internet over Orange is not reliable. The hosts are very attentive and caring, persistently asking if everything is ok.

Dawood and Hicham have been so nice with us, helped us in any way possible, from letting us cook to use the washing machine. Plus the breakfast was 10/10! Living in Morocco means that whenever I travel around I only look for authentic places. Dawoods place is one of them! Thank you Dawood, you are such a good host!

Absolutely recommended! We were picked up as agreed and the drive to the camp was impressive. The bumpy ride through the impressive landscape with the smell of wild rocket. And then the music from the radio, it still echoes ... :) The camp is located between the dunes. The food was tasty and plentiful, and the hospitality was warm. our hosts Mohamed and Ali told us impressive and exciting stories about life on the edge of the desert in the past and today. Next time we will stay longer than two nights…
