Every trip out on the river is magical. We saw so many animals and the river is just beautiful. There is something very serene about seeing animals from the boat. The free laundry was so helpful. After more than 2 weeks of travel, it was nice to be able to pack our bags with all clean clothes on our return journey home.

You could hear the falls from your room. The staff were very attentive. We came late and our dinner was provided. The three course dinner was really good. As good as many a large city.

Rooms are 20 square metres. Set on the banks of the Okavango River, Shametu River Lodge offers views of the Popa Falls and is 6.5 km from Divundu. Free private parking is available on site. Excellent location for excursions into the surrounding National Parks and for a visit to the Popa Falls. Very comfortable large rooms.

We took an excellent sunset boat cruise and morning game drive, organised by the lodge and accompanied by knowledgable guides. The staff both at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful.
