Vriendelijke ontvangst van de driver (zonder 4wd kun je er niet komen). Heerlijk gegeten van avond buffet. Prima tent en prima bed. Ook douche en toilet waren prima (wel koude douche). Heb er heerlijk geslapen. De tenten draaien op 1 zonnepaneel en accu (220ah) dat is iets waar je rekening mee moet houden. Onbeperkt stroom verbruiken kan niet. Rest van het personeel was ook erg vriendelijk en er werd naar de gasten omgekeken. Kamp wordt gedeeld met Moonlight camp.

Desert moments camp was a wonderful experience for us! The camp is on the top of the dune, in a very quiet location and there is really nothing around. You dont hear noise of cars and buggies passing by like in other camps. The tents are big, perfectly clean and comfortable. The best is there is only 6 tents so it is a very friendly experience cause you get the chance to meet other guests and share experiences. It is the only camp that allows you check in at 13.00 so you really get the chance to see and feel the desert even few hours before the sunset. Salah, the owner, is the king of the desert :) he takes really good care of his guests. We enjoyed a tasty surprise lunch on our arrival, delicious food for dinner and a very nice breakfast. Salah, thank you for the great desert camping experience including a funny evening chat where we got to hear more about the modern omani men :)

Super locatie op een hoger gelegen deel in de woestijn waardoor je vanuit de kamer een prachtig uitzicht hebt. Men heeft een zwembad en dat maakt het verblijf extra speciaal. Zeker de ballonvaart bijboeken bij zonsopgang want dat is een prachtige ervaring. Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame camp manager.

In de unit staat 1 bed. Marbella Luxury Desert Camp ligt in Bidiyah in de regio Al Sharqiyah en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en toegang tot een binnenzwembad. Bij aankomst zeer warm onthaald door het personeel. Water en koffie ontvangen en een kleine tour gekregen en uitleg ontvangen van de faciliteiten. Wij wouden dune bashing doen en het personeel regelde dat meteen voor ons. Abdullah, de uitbater van het hotel kwam ons ophalen en heeft ons voor een zeer aangename dune bashing gezorgd. Na dune bashing kreeg je tijd voor jezelf, zonsondergang te zien… het avondeten was heerlijk en zeer gevarieerd. Na het eten was er een kampvuur en kregen een heerlijke thee. De dag erna kan je vanuit je hotel naar het zonsopgang kijken en kan je erna genieten van een heerlijk ontbijt bij het hotel.

I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the staff and loved the quiet and intimacy of a smaller camp (only 4 tents). It was so fun meeting people from all over the world at dinnertime and breakfast, and the campfire after dinner was amazing for sharing conversation over tea while stargazing. Everything was so comfy and clean - the bed was comfortable and I loved being able to shower underneath the stars! Finding the camp was easy enough and I had a wonderful time here. Definitely go dune bashing with Ibrahim! The food was so yummy and plentiful and the sunrises/sunsets cannot be missed. I’m so glad I chose this place to stay!!

Great place to stay and amazing value for money. Stuff was very friendly and helpful. Our tent was spacious, and bed was huge and comfortable. Food was amazing as well. We enjoyed our time there. Sultan- our host was very entertaining, he answered all our questions regarding Oman. In the evening we had fire set up for us to stay warm outside. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Het kamp ligt op een fijne plek in de woestijn (niet te ver van de bewoonde wereld, maar ver genoeg voor de woestijnbeleving). Zeer mooie tenten en de badkamer zonder dak is echt leuk; tijdens douchen kan je naar de sterren kijken. We hebben zowel de kamelentocht bij zonsondergang als de dunebashing de volgende ochtend gedaan. Beide activiteiten waren super leuk. Met de kamelen op stap terwijl de zon onder gaat, is magisch. Het eten (diner en ontbijt) was zeer lekker. Na het diner hebben we ons goed vermaakt bij het kampvuur en genoten van de dans van onze gastheren en van de gezamenlijke dans. Speciale dank voor Saeed voor onze fijne gesprekken.

The camp was nicely located in the dunes, there were some other camps nearby, but not close enough to notice them without walking some distance. The facilities were amazing, tents were simple, yet well equipped and the little private bathrooms (including showers) were just perfect. Sunset camel ride was brilliant and definitely worth doing. Both the dinner and breakfast were well prepared with a large variety of food, we were very impressed by the quality and quantity of the dinner and breakfasts.
