I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

This tent's special feature is the pool with a view. The tent offers a private entrance, a seating area, a terrace with mountain views as well as a private bathroom boasting a shower. What a place! Amazing scenery, lots of wildlife, nice and friendly people... Our guide, Steven, was the best, : friendly, helpfull and loads of knowledge about life, the animals, nature... answered al our questions (and we had thousands of questions). Tents are well furnished, very good beds (with electric blankets!). Every evening there's an enormous campfire. The food was devine! We have 2 vegetarians in our family, and they received adapted meals. Those ladies really spoiled us !

Had a great and peacefull time at Horizon Savannah. The tents are well maintained and the shared are was more than equiped for a bush visit. The night sounds in the tent is amazing. This requires some drive on agravel road to access the private reserve but that's definitely worth the deal. The place is great, a large private reserve with lots of animals (plain game) where you can freely walk around. We stayed in a large chalet nicely setup and cosy, clean and provided with all the needed. The chalet is solar powered (you won't even thing about load shedding) and water is provided by a borehole.. We had our braai but we had to kill the fire quick due to strong winds (that very evening PTA got hit by an exceptional storm)... but we enjoyed the kindness of the owners ad much as the quietness of the place and all the plain game roaming around us. Thanks to them. I highly recommand that place if you love your own privacy and the bush.

We stayed here during winter time but they opened the heated pool. We swam next to impala’s. It was amazing. Rooms are larga and clean.
