Location, location, location: We had looked for a combination of hotel and winery in walking distance to each other, and this one ticked all the boxes: you can easily walk over to Chateau Tanunda in about 15mins (and others are walkable too, if you don't mind walking 30-40mins). The hotel is part of a pub/restaurant - but the rooms are really surprising: completely new, with a rain shower, quite spacious and quiet (this being a Monday maybe, could be louder on a Friday evening). We also enjoyed the restaurant and a glass of wine on the front porch. There's ample parking in the back. Didn't see any breakfast options, but this was rare on our trip anyways - there's a bakery nearby to help you out.

Wonderful welcoming details such as rugs on the sofa. Peter even made us pizza! So welcome after a long, cross day travelling. Loved it!and left making promises to come back ....

Jacobs Creek Retreat - Barossa Valley is a 10-minute drive from Tanunda. Attractions nearby include hot air balloon rides, wine tasting, bird watching and golf. Location and wildlife. Loved hearing and seeing all the birds. We stayed in the Orchard Suite, which was very spacious and elegant. The bathroom was great with his and her sinks, a jetted tub, and a roomy shower with two shower heads. It felt very luxurious! Favourite spot was the outdoor pool on the beautiful grounds. Right next door was the tasting cellar of Moorooroo which was fun. Will definitely be back!

Beautiful yard and just a few minutes walk to all of the restaurants and shops of Tanunda. Communication and check-in were seamless and house was impeccably clean and well-supplied. We’ll be back!
