Tons of options and super fresh everything, despite it being a much smaller hotel than many we've stayed at previously. Despite the fact that we arrived after the reception had closed, they left easily understandable instructions to access the hotel and our room. The gentleman at reception in the morning was very personable and on it! The room was much larger than excpected.

The evening meals were a good selection of traditional German cooking using local, seasonal ingredients where appropriate. The staff were most help and friendly to this English speaker. I would recommend this hotel for a quiet getaway or base to explore the green countryside of northern Germany. I had a friend pick me up and deliver me back by car. When it came time to depart, there is a bus right outside the hotel into the town of Wedel, from where a train runs directly to Hamburg Airport.

The property offers bright and vintage styled rooms furnished with white wood. All rooms feature a private bathroom, mostly with a level-access shower and some with a spa bath. Just wonderful! Calm and classy. We booked a classic room with balcony last minute with breakfast (which was great!) so it was a bit pricier than normal but we are very glad we went for it. We have found our place to go to now and we will be back (but will book ahead next time!).

The Strandhotel Glücksburg is a stylish base from which to discover the region’s idyllic golf courses, Glücksburg Castle and Nordic Walking Park. The settings was absolutely stunning. The Stradhotel is like a dream come true. From gorgeous views of the beach to restaurants near the water serving quick meals with a view.The resort was top notch. We rode the electric bikes through the woods and around a nearby castle! We even rode past a pair of beautiful horses grazing next to the fence. The breakfast was over the top serving Mimosa with an elaborate array of meats, eggs and breads.
