Karima and her husband were not only very responsive, they recommended some great local restaurants, even made reservations for us two non-French speakers. Both restaurants turned out to be of great food, service and atmosphere. The night when we were not driving, they kindly drove us to the restaurant in order to get us an earlier table and make sure the restaurant get us a Uber back. The apartment is very clean, spacious and well decorated, a short walk to all attractions, yet quiet with lots of parking options nearby. Really convenient for us who travels with a car and use Metz as a base for nearby towns.

It turned out to be a very typical small town in the Ardennen with steep sloping streets, terraced houses and beautiful surroundings. The house itself is quite old, lovely wooden staircase, and indeed, painted a wonderful framboise colour. We had a large room with twin beds, which was great for my sister and I.
