Also, since that guesthouse didn't have breakfast, they invited me back for breakfast, even though I didn't even stay that night at the hotel! That is going above and beyond for sure.

I've stayed in many hotels (from top to bottom of the spectrum) in my many years of traveling, and none, i can recall, exceeded their's for quality and diversity of offerings. Jani with his sense of humor and willingness to go the extra mile along with his wife's attention to detail, made for a memorable stay. Sometimes one gets lucky. This was one of those times.

A very welcoming host who gave us valuable tips for our stay and marked everything on the map. The location is just a few minutes from Lake Bled. Excellent spacious parking. Beautiful view from the room. The balcony has flowers, a table, and chairs. The house has a stunning design — we were especially impressed by the kitchen and its details, including a real stove decorated with gorgeous ceramic tiles. There’s a kettle, coffee, and tea available. The breakfast was outstanding — everything was incredibly delicious: meat, chees, yogurts, fresh fruits, home pastries. They also offer eggs cooked to your preference, and even some tasty pickled cucumbers.

Located right on the coast of Bled Lake, Hotel Starkl - Heritage & Unique is a small family-run property that provides unique views of the lake. Free Wi-Fi is provided, as well as an on-site restaurant and bar with a terrace. The hotel was super! It's a 100 year old (although doesnt look like it) hotel with modern facilities. It has quite a story to it. Located right by the lake and next to the bus stop - public transport is a bit of a problem in Bled so, this was a big advantage. You can go for a beautiful walk by the lake, take a boat to the island, or explore the nearby restaurants right outside the hotel. The view from the window was delightful! The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with a decent spread. The restaurant was awesome!
