HOSTEL MICHIKUSA-YA is gelegen in Fujikawaguchiko, op minder dan 1 km van Kawaguchimeer, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. The host, Michikusa, was very good with communication and offered to collect me from Kawaguchiko train station as well as drop me off the day I departed. This was a great help and very much appreciated! On check in Michikusa recommended a few points of interest to visit during my stay according to the weather. I managed to tick most of them off which made for a great day exploring the beautiful surrounding nature. The hostel is well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was a pleasure staying there and I would 100% return on my next visit! Thank you!

Wafu Guesthouse Kashiwaya ligt op 5 minuten lopen van het station Kawaguchiko en op 7 minuten rijden van Kawaguchiko Interchange op de Chuo Expressway. A clean and pleasant room in a traditional style, with views of Mt. Fuji from some of the rooms and the balcony! Excellent location and a lovely, helpful staff. You can also try origami and calligraphy at the property. Highly recommended!

Het Highland Resort Hotel & Spa ligt vlak naast het pretpark Fuji-Q Highland en biedt uitzicht op Mount Fuji. Het hotel heeft grote baden met warm bronwater en spafaciliteiten. Mooie luxe ingerichte ruime kamers in groot hotel. We hadden een fantastisch uitzicht op Mount Fuji vanuit de slaapkamer. Het is wel een hotel waar veel groepen en zakelijke bijeenkomsten zijn, dus heeft niet de charme van een Japans hotel. Maar wel fijn dat je gratis gebruik kan maken van de onsen en de auto voor de deur kunt parkeren. Verder ligt het hotel naast een pretpark (wat wij niet wisten ) maar daar heb je verder geen last van als je daar niet van houdt.

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths. Beste verblijfplaats van heel mijn reis door Japan. Je zit vlakbij de tempel, het ontbijt en kamer zijn fantastisch. De vriendelijkheid van de gastheren is de kers op de taart.

ASH Villa Fujikawaguchiko ligt in Fujikawaguchiko, op 8,2 km van Kawaguchimeer en 9,1 km van pretpark Fuji-Q Highland. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, airconditioning, een tuin en een terras. The property is new and modern. The space is spacious for our group of 8 people with 4 rooms. We had a great time bbq-ing outside. The host provided all the utensils needed for cooking which is a plus. There was also a dishwasher. The view of mount fuji was beautiful in the morning. One of the rooms even had a balcony with the view of mount fuji. Wish we stayed for another night.

Compass Karuizawa beschikt over een tuin en een terras, en biedt accommodatie in Karuizawa met gratis WiFi en uitzicht op de bergen. Spacious living room, well functioned bathroom and lovely garden behind the building. The place has two parking lots available (can easily fit in class like Toyota Alphard) and just 10 mins drive from Old Gonza Street.

Guesthouse Kazura ligt in Nanto, op 31 km van Kasteel van Kanazawa, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. The guesthouse is an old traditional renovated farmhouse with an awesome rustic and very comfy charme and pieceful view over the lake and the mountains. The owner is very friendly and cool and offers very delicious bread for breakfast and (for free:) different kinds of coffee and tea. I had a great relaxing time there, escaping the hussle of the city.
