Apartment equipped with all one needs and to very high quality. Solidly built throughout and with a design I found very pleasing and relaxing. I loved the presence of a sharp Japanese cooking knife. The living room was very spacious with a large good TV.

Very good location with walking distance to the ferry. The apartment was clean and fresh. The owner was very nice and helpful. We will definitely repeat here again on our next visit.

Everything was perfect.You get Spa zone with sauna's,inside,outside swiming pools,breakfast and beautiful view outside for a really good price. I really reccomend this place.We were here 2nd time.Normally we are'nt booking the same place twice,but we'll come back here again next time :)

Located at the iconic Fredriksten Fortress in Halden, this hotel is surrounded by gardens. Guests can enjoy free WiFi and free parking. Stayed overnight travelling from Norway to Sweden and the location was convenient as just 10 mins from E6. Driving up to the hotel provides great views of the fortress. Nice outdoor areas to enjoy the sunset. The room was spacious and modern. Free parking.

It is amazing to stay inside Gamlebyen. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite off of the central plaza. What you are paying for is partly the experience of staying in something historical and authentic and being in the heart of the old city. It is a unique experience to stay here. You can see and feel the history of the structure and imagine what it would have been like living in the area hundreds of years ago. At the same time it is updated with everything you could want including a washer and dryer. The private courtyard was lovely at night and in the morning. The artwork on the walls is also phenomenal. This suite is very rich in texture and was just beautiful. The bedroom on the main level had a glass door (with a wooden dutch door outside). You could open it up to the courtyard, which was a lovely touch. There is another bedroom upstairs along with the large kitchen and living room. Downstairs is the main bedroom and 3/4 bathroom with the washer and dryer. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Wished I would have taken photos of the upper floors to post here.

Situated a 5-minute drive from Halden Train Station, this hotel offers guests free WiFi and free private parking. Fitness centre and sauna access is also free. The hotel and staff were so nice, I would definitely come back. The meal was so delicious.
