A Perfect Place for a Winter Getaway! I had the pleasure of staying at this charming guesthouse for a few days, and I am absolutely thrilled with my experience. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, always ensuring guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. The breakfasts were fantastic – a wide variety of fresh options to suit everyone's taste. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, which added an extra level of comfort. A standout feature was the complimentary in-room mini bar, stocked daily with water, juices, and beer – such a thoughtful touch! Right behind the house, there’s a small hill with a free ski lift, perfect for beginner skiers or kids who want to enjoy skiing or sledding. It was a delightful and convenient option for some fun in the snow! The location is also a major plus – situated right next to a train station, making it easy to access, and just a short distance from proper ski slopes. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views that make it a true winter wonderland. The location is a bit off the beaten track, but easily reached by cable car or car. It’s so peaceful and the views are beautiful. If you want to wake up to the sound of cowbells, you couldn’t choose a better place. The hosts were also super welcoming. You immediately felt part of the family. It is clear that the owners are an active part in the local community and that they pride themselves on great food and traditional recipes. Our stay felt very special and we couldn’t have asked for more.

Very friendly host and interesting conversations. The plan was to stay for one night but they had so cute goats outside that our son just adored so we stayed a second night. If our Interrail pass had not expired soon and we needed to go back to Sweden we would have stayed another night. Churwalden has the longest rodelbahn in Switzerland. Don't miss that on your stay which is a 15 minute walk from the accommodation. I can also recommend a hike up on the mountain Fulenberg above the rodelbahn if you are trying out the rodelbahn and you will save your knees a little bit on the way down.

Amazing Stay!!! The couple that run the hotel are kind and super friendly! They will take care of you! My room was very classic old with charm and very comfortable too! I had a wonderful view of the old village Filisur and the mountains! The outside eating area is so beautiful! Vines going everywhere and gorgeous views. The pizza and the Thai food are delicious! There are great hikes in all directions and one of them leads to the famous Landwasserviadukt! My hosts told me of a picturesque hike if I take the train to Davos-Monstein, then hike my way back to Filisur. It turned out to be the most Amazing Hike I've ever done in my life!!! There were many train bridges, waterfalls, snow capped peaks, and postcard perfect villages off in the distance! One of the most spectacular moments of the hike was walking over the super high Weisen Viaduct and then taking pictures of the train going over the bridge from various viewpoints! Thanks again for making my visit so very memorable! 😁

I like the fact that the room is 8 minutes walk from the train station, the surrounding is quiet. There are lots of shops around where you could go feed your eyes or shop if you like. There are also bars around if you want to go sit out for a drink. David indeed was exceptionally nice to us, and we look forward to going back there...And it was super cheap for such a beautiful room, and it's surrounding as well. Great value and David was a very good host. The shared kitchen and dining areas were great and there is a washing machine and tumble drier. The room was spacious and clean with lots of power outlets. Great location. Very peaceful at night.
