I had such a lovely time at El Hermanito! From the first moment, the hosts made me feel like I was part of the family. After a 14 hours nightbus with no heat and only some cookies, and been dropped off at 7am in 3°C outdoor. I hardly walk to Hostal Qachi Chentura. Press the bell, staff invite me in well before check-in time, rapidly offer me a tidy clean and warm room. Even offer me free breakfast.🙏🏻 Truly kind and helpful.

Excellent accommodation! The staff are extremely hardworking and friendly—so much so that even the guests feel inspired to keep up with their kindness 😊. The place is spotlessly clean, with cozy territory inside and a spacious kitchen fully stocked with all kinds of tea, coffee, and more. Breakfasts are nice, and the blankets are warm and comfy. The hot shower works perfectly—just give it a minute to heat up. The location is also great: close to a supermarket and only about a hundred meters from one of the best stargazing spots—the desert itself. You can easily walk out to enjoy breathtaking views of the desert and mountains. Highly recommended for a comfortable, welcoming, and serene stay.

The room was spacious, immaculately clean and well equipped. The host was lovely, very friendly and helpful. Allowed us to check in early and store our bags the next day before our evening flight. It was also good value for San Pedro de Atacama which is a very expensive area.

I can only recommend Hostal Illari! Very clean rooms and it is quiet. The staff is amazing, sooo friendly and helpful. The hostal is not in the center but it's very easy to reach, 10 minutes walk. The breakfast is basic but good, we even got snacks to go everytime we left early for tours. The price-performance ratio is really great!

Super quiet location with a peaceful garden, including an outlook towards the Vulcans. Very close to some hikes (by foot or bike) Possibility to cook and prepare coffee during the day We were there in winter but the rooms have heating and our host Ani and her helper fired the fireplace every night We rented The best was Ani, the host: she is the most welcoming person who gave us tips what to do, where to eat. Provided the latest information for opening hours of natural parks.

One of our favourite hostels we've stayed in so far! Fantastic value for money. The staff were always kind, friendly and helpful! free water and brilliant well equipped kitchen. Our room was cleaned every day and the breakfast was lovely. Totally recommend staying here!
